Missing biking at the road.
I’ve been summarizing all my mile(ages) of my cannondale mountain bike and as of today, my distance will typically range to let’s say 40km’s per week with a total of approximately 80kms (40×2) for the second week of March. It fell based from my January and February records. 😦
I’ve been missing riding my bike!! Ugh! My time, recently, got focused on runs. I included a few lapses in my workout due to the fact that I wanted to try running.
I’m not posting this to make excuses, to whine or alike, I’m posting this as a sign that I successfully incorporated running on my routine (weekly basis) and to remind myself that I have to chose where to focus on a workout.
If a running event is coming up, I have to lessen my lifts (ugh!). If a cycling event is up, I have to work on my legs, thus lessen lifts on isolation workout focusing on upper body.
Is it a conflict on my time management or just me that it seems like I have to lessen my lifts to power up my cardio? These two things (lifting and cardio) have been on my mind all the time! There were times that I just wanted to stop. Yes. But every time I think that I have to start and get back again (soon), thinking the body pain and muscle cries of the first-timers-at-the-gym, I could not! Its easier to continue what I’ve been suffering right now than be back at square one.
For the record, I don’t like cardio. I don’t hate doing it but I don’t want spending time, more than 10minutes on a cardio workout. – Past Me
As of now, I don’t have a program to follow. I just pattern my workout based on what is the up coming active events on my life. The result is, No PR’s on my lift but I am more flexible on switching from running, hiking, badminton, jumping, etcetera.
